Ron Andrews, President
Ph. D. Retd. Vice-President of the Advanced Technology Center of Lockheed Martin, Palo Alto. Ron in a watercolorist who has had individual shows at PAL. His website is ronsartgallery.com. Donna Sheridan, Vice President

 

R.N., B.S. Am U, M.S. UCSF, M.B.A. Pepperdine, PhD.  Donna has served as healthcare executive and consultant at both hospital and corporate levels.  She has published 2 books and over 100 articles.  She is past president of: Palo Alto AAUW; Fairmeadow PTA; Potomac Garden Club; and has served on numerous Boards, including Neighbors Abroad (Sister Cities), Law League, National Charity League, and Healthcare Boards.  Donna has been studying art for many years, has taken over a dozen courses at PAL, and is currently an MFA student at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Member of the PAL Education and Exhibition Committees.


Theo Keet, Treasurer

Theo has a 30+ year career in Finance, Marketing and General Management at global high-technology companies and local start-ups, and is currently a partner at Tech-Rx. Previously, Theo has served as CFO at YY Technologies, a text recognition software start-up, at Philips Electronics, at the Consumer Electronics division and at Horizon Navigation Inc., a GPS software developer. Prior to 1997, Theo held increasingly responsible executive positions in finance, auditing and marketing during his 16-year tenure at Unisys Corporation. Theo started his career with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in The Netherlands with assignments in Portugal, and Brazil. He holds a degree in finance and accounting; and CPA certification from The Netherlands. 

Theo was appointed to the Board through December 2014.


Diana Diamond, Executive Secretary

B.A. University of Michigan. Journalism fellowship, Stanford University. Diana Diamond is a former board member and artist who has had several shows at PAL. She is currently a columnist for the Daily News, a former Editor-in-chief with many awards. She had her own consulting company for ten years specializing in marketing communications. Diana helped plan and organize a Centennial campaign at Stanford University. She is elected from Jan 2013-Dec 2015. Diana is on the Executive Committee. She is Chair of the Nominating Committee and the Outreach Committee.

 


 

Mariko Matsumoto 

 

MBA. CPA.  Mariko was appointed to the Board of Directors in June 2009 and elected to the Board Jan 2010-Dec. 2013 and re-elected Jan. 2013-Dec 2016.  She is currently Management Entities Controller and manages assets of over $7 billion at Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers in Menlo Park. Mariko has a bachelor’s degree from Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan in French Language studies and is fluent in Japanese and English. Mariko has helped us achieve break-even operations and is active on our Executive Committee. She serves as Treasurer from 2009 - 2014.

 


 

Robin Scholl, Exhibition Committee Chair

B.A. Studio Art. UC Santa Barbara and Teaching credential. PAL instructor since 1991. She is a talented watercolor landscape artist and her work can be viewed online at www.robinscholl.com. Robin served on the Board Jan-May 2008 and was reelected Jan 2012-Dec 2014. Robin is a member of the Executive Committee and serves also on the Education and Events Committees. 

She is Exhibition Committee Chair.

 


 

Directors
Bill Bruner
B.A. Stanford University. Licensed architect and Architect of Record for the Pacific Art League building renovation.  Bill has had several individual shows at PAL, since 1991, including several etching, print and pastel shows. Bill was elected to the board Jan 2008-Dec 2010. Bill served as President in 2008. He was reelected to the board Jan 2011-Dec 2013 and Jan 2014-Dec 2016. Bill serves on the Building  and Exhibition Committees.

Joy Chase  

M.A. Library and Information Science. B.A. English Literature. Diploma in Journalism, London School of Journalism. Joy has a long association with PAL, attending shows and taking classes since the 1970s. Joy enjoys painting abstracts in multi-media. She organized and was in a group show of Contemporary Mixed Media artists in Dec 2013 at PAL. Joy was appointed to the Board in May 2008 and elected Jan 2009-Dec 2011 and reelected Jan 2012-Dec 2014. Jo Killen

M.A. Art Education, Manhattanville College, B.A. Art and Psychology, Sarah Lawrence. Jo is a sculptor and ceramic artist and has worked as an illustrator, graphic designer and art director. She was a project manager at Hewlett-Packard. Jo was appointed to the Board Apr-Dec. 2012 and elected Jan 2013-Dec 2015. Jo served as President in 2014.

 


 


Judy Lin, Education Committee Chair

B.A. UC Berkeley. Judy is a retired software developer and executive.  She has created successful products for a number of companies including Hewlett Packard, Apple, VeriSign and Cisco.  She is now turning her creative energy towards fine art.  She was appointed to the Board Aug. – Dec 2013 and elected Jan 2014- Dec 2016. Judy is Chair of the Education Committee.

 


 

Joseph Petersen
Joe has practiced law since 1996 and for the past nine years has been a partner with the Kilpatrick Townsend law firm.  Joe spent the vast majority of his legal career based in New York. He and his family relocated to the Bay Area in 2013.  Joe focuses on copyright and trademark issues and each year dedicates a portion of his practice to assisting arts related organizations and individual artists on a pro bono basis.  Joe holds a law degree from Vanderbilt.  He was appointed to the Board in September 2014. Joseph is on the Governance Committee.

 

 


Cynthia (Cindi) Napoli-Abella Reiss

Ph.D. Art History, UC Irvine. M.A. Art History, San Francisco State University. B.A. Art History, UC Irvine. Cindi is a tenured Art History professor at West Valley College with experience in grant writing, non-profit governance, education programming and governance and policy-making.  She currently serves on the Board of Oakland Leaf and the Living Love Foundation.  Cindi is completing her book entitled: "Silenced Histories and Trauma in the Works of Three Latin American Artists."  Cindi serves on the Education Committee. Josephine Shuster, Events Committee Chair
B.A. Teaching credential.  She is a retired Financial Planner and an artist. Josephine has previously served on the Board and was elected Jan 2009-Dec 2011 and reelected Jan 2012-Dec 2014. Josephine is Chair of the Events Committee.  Josephine is Chair of the Events Committee.

Robin Welles
American Academy of Dramatic Arts, N.Y. Former VP Palo Alto Art Center Foundation Board. Palo Alto Studios since 2003. Has done sculpting, monotypes, repousse'. Welles Fine Art Publishing, owner 1996-2003, designed and published fine art posters.  Set designer, office designer, formerly Creative Director of Hudson Bay Music, N.Y. Screen Gems Columbia Pictures, and Los Angeles , assistant to the president. Appointed to the Board Aug – Dec 2013, elected Jan 2014 - Dec 2016. Robin is on the Development and Events Committees.
